JOB SUMMARY: The Logistics Officer is primarily responsible for overseeing the smooth management of the Logistics Department. They are responsible for supervising the logistics personnel, ensuring effective and efficient Logistics Management, and maintaining working relationships with third party logistics and government agencies for continuous transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with all department managers/supervisors/coordinators to determine logistics requirements and schedule transport to meet the requests.
- Spearhead with planning of local delivery, and the contracting of 3PLS if needed.
- Manage the company’s fleet by ensuring the appropriate use, maintenance, and repair of all cars (private or leased), motorcycles, and generators (if any).
- Keep track of documents such as registration, insurance, vehicle logs, daily inspection reports, etc.
- Produce monthly fuel and vehicle use reports, “work orders,” etc., and submit them to the Operation Manager.
- Oversee handling of payments for any logistics-related fees with the approval of the Operations Manager.
- Plan the support needed during events, training, and vehicle requests of the company.
- Perform and support in other tasks as identified and judged necessary by the Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a Logistics team or similar
- Significant experience and certifications in Logistics Management
- Graduate of any 4-year degree
- Driver’s license (Code A, Code B)
- Strong negotiating and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage personnel
- Knowledgeable in MS Office tools
