JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Accounting Specialist will support the accounting team with routine tasks, with a strong focus on inventory reconciliation. This role will involve monitoring inventory transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting with month-end closings, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform regular inventory reconciliations, ensuring that inventory records match financial statements and resolving any discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close, including inventory adjustments and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial reports, with a focus on inventory valuation, turnover, and variances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels are reflected in accounting records.
- Support the accounting officer in finalizing financial statements, ensuring all accounts, including inventory, are reconciled and accurate.
- Drive improvements in inventory tracking processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
- Assist with compliance and tax reporting related to inventory transactions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to inventory reconciliation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days/week in Mandaluyong City.
- ERP system experience, especially in inventory management, preferred but not required.
- SAP experience is an advantage.
