The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets related to sales, profitability, and operational performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about proposing and managing projects related to insightful dashboards, in-depth analyses, and presenting findings to stakeholders. This role requires a strong focus on detail, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate across departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Database Management
- Involves proposing for, designing, implementing, and maintaining databases and data storage platforms to ensure efficient storing and retrieval. This will include but not be limited to sales, customer, and inventory data to supplement current Accounting System and Operations excel monitoring sheets and current processes for data storage.
Data Validation
- Perform data validation and quality checks to maintain data integrity.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all databases, analyses and reports.
Data Analysis
- Conduct a thorough analysis of company performance data, including charts and tables on sales by brand, sales by channel, gross profit, and operating profits.
- Monitor and analyze purchase orders per week by brand, tracking inventory levels and identifying trends.
- Evaluate operational efficiency by analyzing parcels packed per day and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze sales and performance data by region to identify growth opportunities and market trends.
- Provide insights into regional performance, recommending strategies to optimize sales and increase market share.
Dashboard Development
- Design and develop comprehensive dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, profitability, and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure dashboards meet the needs of various stakeholders.
Project Management
- Propose and lead data-related projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand project requirements and align data analysis efforts with overall business goals.
Data Security
- Involves encryption, access control, and compliance with data protection regulations. Implementing proper data security measures mitigates risks associated with unauthorized access.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
- 2 years proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the ecommerce or consumer electronics industry.
- Expertise in building and maintaining dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Lookerstudio, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong interest in providing actionable business insights
- People management skills is a plus
